Green infrastructure trend

Climate change is increasingly forcing a change in approach to infrastructure planning, design and management especially in cities. The aim of green infrastructure is to create smart, efficient and environmentally friendly solutions that also serve to improve the quality of life. Within the elements of a basic green infrastructure system, we can mention parks, green squares, courtyard interiors or green courtyards. The city offers many opportunities to create a green infrastructure system, such as parks, lawns, avenues of trees and flowers in front of buildings or along roads and pavements. It is also possible to use the roofs of buildings to install gardens or orchards, which contributes to water retention, improving the thermal insulation of buildings and increasing biodiversity. The appearance of greenery also influences the visual aspect against the ubiquitous concrete and, above all, reduces the phenomenon of heat islands.

The rustic trend

Tired of the intensity of living in the hustle and bustle of big cities, we sometimes like to miss a quiet, idyllic landscape. The desire to return to the countryside is reflected in the arrangements referring to the picturesque aesthetics of the province. Striving to recreate the atmosphere of former mansions and cottages with the use of appropriately selected colors, furniture and accessories is called a rustic trend. It allows all those who feel saturated with technology and the rush of the modern world to find a respite.

And since the village is close to nature, of course. In rustic interiors, we focus on natural materials, and the main character is wood. It is often accompanied by brick and iron, and among the accessories – ceramics. Spaces of this type are characterized by a lot of white and unusual architectural solutions, such as beams under the ceiling, large sliding doors or wooden decorative poles. All this is intended to bring to mind rural cottages from the end of the 19th century. Properly selected lighting, made using traditional methods, helps to obtain a characteristic atmosphere.

Industrial trend

The love for industrial spaces was born in the United States, when former industrial premises began to be transformed into apartments. Today, however, it is not necessary to have an apartment in an old factory to enjoy the unique atmosphere that this style provides. What’s more, industrial is more and more often associated with luxury and the accompanying extravagance. This concept is used not only in private interiors, but also in hotels, restaurants, offices and even public facilities.

A necessary condition for arranging the premises in accordance with this trend is having a large space, devoid of unnecessary partition walls. This is the starting point for an industrial-style arrangement, where, in addition to concrete, brick and metal, the most important thing is light – coming through large windows or emitted by solid lamps. In addition, there are often raw finishes, or rather the lack of them. The fragments of ventilation, bare walls and ceilings with pipes winding underneath which are visible, are hard industrial. However, nothing stands in the way of arranging the interior in the spirit of a loft, but in such a way that it is more friendly and accessible to a larger group of recipients.

Scandinavian trend

From the north of Europe, a trend came to us, which over time became a tastes for many Poles. We associate Scandinavia with a harsh climate and cold light, but balance, moderation and love of nature are also important in the approach of its inhabitants to life. All this means that the Scandinavian style, although minimalist and pragmatist-oriented, can surprise us with a pleasant atmosphere, giving a sense of freedom and lightness.

The adaptability of this style in Polish interiors was possible thanks to our geographical location. As in Denmark or Sweden, we have many days with poor sunshine throughout the year and a relatively long fall / winter season, which distinguishes our climate from the hot south. As a result, bright colors and modest decorations turn out to be a good choice also in Poland. In turn, the growing ecological awareness of Poles more and more often prompts them to choose natural accessories and arrange living spaces with the use of wood and vegetation. Our fixtures fit perfectly into this concept, giving the possibility of arranging functional, simple, yet cozy and harmonious interiors.
